Wayne’s World 2 4K Blu-Ray Preorders Are Discounted At Amazon

Published:

It is party time once again, as Wayne’s World 2 is getting a new 4K Blu-ray release on May 27. The 1993 sequel will also come with a standard Blu-ray version of the film, as well as a selection of extra content. Preorders are available now at Amazon, and it’s even discounted to just $33.49 (was $45).

Wayne’s World 2 4K Blu-ray Special Features

Wayne’s World 2 4K Blu-ray includes a modest collection of special features, the most notable of which is a new commentary track from director Stephen Surjk that’s included with the 4K and 1080p versions of the film. Here’s a look at all the included extras:

  • Audio commentary with Director Stephen Surjik (4K and 1080p versions)
  • 14-minute Extreme Close-Up: Featurette
  • 6 US TV Spots
  • 2 UK TV Spots
  • Teaser Trailer
  • Theatrical Trailer

While it’s not quite as popular as the first film, Wayne’s World 2 still has plenty of charm. The sequel revolves around TV hosts Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey) working to organize a major music concert dubbed Waynestock, and naturally, the duo encounter a few challenges along the way. Christopher Walken also stars as a slimey record label executive who tries to steal Wayne’s girlfriend, Cassandra (Tia Carrere).

If you want to revisit the original, the first Wayne’s World also got a 4K Blu-ray release back in 2022 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the cult-classic comedy. It’s worth noting that there are barely any extras on this copy–just audio commentary from director Penelope Spheeris, a small featurette, and a trailer–and there’s no standard Blu-ray included with legacy features, but it still got a pretty nice visual upgrade. You can grab it for just $23 (was $26) at Amazon.

If you really need the bonus materials, you can pick up the Wayne’s World standard edition Blu-ray for $7.25 (down from $10). And if you don’t want to wait for the sequel’s new 4K edition, there’s a Wayne’s World Two Movie Pack available for $19 (was $23). Just remember: no Stairway.

Actors Mike Myers and Dana Carvey have had interesting careers since they wrapped up Wayne’s World, with Myers going on to star in the iconic Austin Powers trilogy. You can pick up a Blu-ray triple feature of this beloved James Bond spoof for $12.70 (was $20), and there’s also a 4K Blu-ray collector’s edition for $31 (was $39) that’s very groovy, baby. Meanwhile, Carvey’s post-Wayne’s World career hasn’t been quite as memorable, but if you’re in the mood to watch one of the worst movies of all time, Master of Disguise is available on DVD for $10. A membership to the Turtle Club is not included.
